Location: Onsite - Dayton, OH
Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000
Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented Accounting Manager to join a growing financial institution. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. The Accounting Manager will partner closely with executive leadership to support sound financial decision-making and long-term organizational growth.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise within financial services or banking, proven supervisory experience, and the ability to lead in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Oversee asset/liability management (ALM), liquidity management, and capital planning activities
- Analyze key financial metrics and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and serve as a key liaison with internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Develop, mentor, and manage the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting quality
- Support strategic initiatives as needed, including mergers, acquisitions, and new product or service offerings
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience within the financial services or banking industry
- 3+ years of supervisory or people leadership experience
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements in financial services
