Financial Analyst
Position Summary
Play a critical role in supporting innovative research through effective program control and financial oversight. The Program Control Analyst role encompasses the full lifecycle of sponsored research administration. Program control functions include setting up new sponsored research projects, preparing and submitting interim and final invoices, analyzing reconciliation and control reports, and performing closeout activities. The analyst leverages knowledge of industry best practices to ensure our delivered solutions comply with business requirements, accepted accounting practices, and Federal Sponsors’ audit requirements.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or four years’ work experience with government billings.
- Three years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of various government agency financial systems, accounting procedures, terminology, and organizational structure.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and basic experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Three years’ experience with invoicing and analyzing federal government contracts to include Cost Plus, T&M, and FFP contracts.
- Knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- In-depth knowledge of and expertise on Deltek Costpoint.
- Excellent demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong proven analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.
