The Royalty Finance team supports commercial, financial and operational success by ensuring accurate royalty‑related processes, strong controls and effective decision‑making. As an independent contributor reporting to the Global Royalties Finance Manager, you will partner with product, technology, content and commercial teams to execute compliant, controlled and fiscally responsible initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Identify financial control gaps, evaluate risk exposure and potential P&L impact, and drive timely remediation through structured corrective actions.
  • Perform detailed financial data analysis to detect anomalies and reinforce financial governance standards.
  • Apply established internal control frameworks to address routine control and compliance matters.
  • Proactively explore and test Lexis Nexis commercial products (e.g., Lexis+ AI, Nexis+ AI) to validate business logic, content behavior, pricing configurations and customer workflows that impact financial and royalty processes.
  • Develop, document and enhance financial policies, standard operating procedures and end‑to‑end process flows to ensure compliance and reporting integrity.
  • Assist with ad‑hoc projects and other responsibilities as required by the company.

  • Apply foundational financial principles to analyze data, identify trends and contribute to accurate reporting and decision‑making.
  • Analyze complex financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities, and communicate key takeaways as actionable insights.
  • Proactively identify potential risks, gaps or process issues and take appropriate steps to mitigate them before they impact financial accuracy, timelines, controls or stakeholder outcomes.
  • Work with moderate guidance while developing deeper subject‑matter expertise.
  • Demonstrate responsible and effective use of AI and large language model tools, identifying opportunities to automate or accelerate work, strengthen insights, reduce cycle times and improve communication, while maintaining accountability for accuracy, data privacy and ethical application.
  • Champion governance, accuracy, accountability and operational integrity.
  • Communicate effectively to influence technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in operational controls, financial analysis, compliance or process management.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with structured datasets, pivot tables and data validation techniques in Excel and beyond.
  • Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.
