Associate Director, Compliance

University of Dayton is hiring an Associate Director, Compliance. This role leads financial aid regulatory compliance, oversees internal controls, policies, audits, and manages compliance initiatives to advance student success. The Associate Director collaborates with various university offices and drives financial aid administration projects, aligning efforts with the University's mission.

Highlights

• Lead internal control and compliance administration for the Office of Financial Aid, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and institutional policies.
• Manage audits and serve as primary contact for compliance reviews.
• Develop, document, update, and validate financial aid procedures and policies.
• Provide leadership and development for the financial aid compliance team.
• Lead annual projects including Cost of Attendance (COA) assessments and FAFSA comment code evaluations.
• Collaborate with departments such as Audit, Risk and Compliance, Controller’s Office, Registrar, Recruitment and Admission, Student Accounts, and UDIT.
• Required skills include knowledge of student financial aid laws, internal controls, audit concepts, and effective communication.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with Ellucian Banner, Salesforce CRM, NASFAA certifications, supervisory experience, and a relevant master’s degree.
• Must have bachelor’s degree or five years progressive financial aid experience with a focus on service and compliance.
