About Us:
Guided by the Agency's mission "To reduce recidivism among those we touch," the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is looking for a dedicated security minded professional to assume the responsibilities of a Parole Program Specialist (Case Analyst) in Montgomery County.
What You'll Do:
Job Duties:
- Assists Regional Administrators of Adult Parole Authority field services in administration of supervision programs & directing operations of field services
- Drafts, interprets, evaluates, & trains on policies, procedures & administrative rules for field & outside agencies
- Chairs or participates on work groups, committees, or task forces to identify & resolve problems & to improve delivery of services to staff & offenders
- Monitors quality of reports & services delivered by field staff through use of management information systems & data
- Recommends system improvements
- Acts independently & makes recommendations when necessary to effect change
- May participate in internal management audits, & serve on Bureau of Internal Standards & Compliance audit team
- Identifies training needs in area of policies & procedures for unit supervisors, senior parole officers, & parole officers
- Provides current & up-to-date information to regional staff regarding policy changes in policy & procedures for all field services operational & programming areas
- Performs other duties as directed related to interstate compact, fugitive, placement & field services.
- May directly supervise staff
- Prioritizes & approves work schedules & itineraries
- Assigns reviews & approves work products for content & accuracy
- Responds to questions & concerns & resolves problems
- Disseminates & interprets policy & procedures
- Approves requests for leave, overtime, compensatory time, bi-weekly attendance reports & travel vouchers
