Undergrad or master’s degree (done or in process) in the theological or pastoral field or equivalent.

Equivalent degrees that will be considered:

• Masters or Doctoral degree in nursing
• Masters or Doctoral degree in Counseling or Psychology
• Masters or Doctoral degree in Social Work
• Or meaningful and comparable ministerial-pastoral experience assessed by the CPE center's admissions committee.

• Congregational pastoral experience preferred.

• Personal commitment to God
• Personal integrity, emotional stability, sound physical health, and an ability to work under stress
• Effectively relates to persons of diverse religious, educational, and cultural backgrounds
• Demonstrates ability to earn respect of nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
