What You'll Do:
  • Conduct student audiological evaluations and assess hearing and auditory processing abilities.
  • Identify hearing loss, causal factors, and related balance disorders affecting academic success and communication.
  • Document evaluation results (ETR) and provide implications for instruction.
  • Recommend, fit, and dispense hearing aids and/or assistive listening devices; provide auditory training and speech/lip-reading instruction.
  • Collaborate with staff and families to implement strategies that support student access, inclusion, and success.
  • Identify environmental adaptations and positive behavioral interventions to enhance student learning and functional skills.
  • Maintain audiology equipment and ensure it is operational.
  • Process documentation and comply with district records management policies.
What You'll Bring:
  • Valid Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license and Ohio State Board of Education Pupil Services license.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, audiology equipment, and auditory training resources.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of inclusive educational strategies and evidence-based audiological practices.
  • Satisfactory fingerprinting and criminal records check results (provided for free by MCESC!).
