Job Details
The Pharmacy Technician II supports the pharmacist with medication preparation and dispensing, under direct supervision. The technician ensures accurate medication preparation following pharmacy department policies, complies with state and federal drug laws, and participates in training, quality improvement projects, and inventory management.

Responsibilities- Assist the pharmacist with medication preparation and verification
- Prepare medications, label, and stock inventory while maintaining product integrity
- Answer calls promptly and direct to appropriate personnel
- Maintain a clean, orderly work environment
- Comply with pharmacy policies and State Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Adhere to safety and quality practices, including USP guideline competencies
- Support management on new initiatives and participate in departmental quality improvement projects
- Encourage and mentor other pharmacy team members
- GED and Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential from the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy
- Valid Certified Pharmacy Technician license issued by a State Board of Pharmacy accredited agency
- Knowledge of pharmacy practice settings, legal requirements, prescription information, drug identification, manufacturing, packaging, labeling, and proper drug handling and storage practices
