Pharmacist - Specialty

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, and according to standard procedures, dispenses medications and pharmaceutical care upon receiving physician orders; performs all duties necessary to provide for the effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs; supervises support personnel in all work areas assigned; participates in training pharmacy students, technicians, and other allied professionals.

Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and according to standard procedures, oversees/performs total prescription filling process: data entry, inventory management, patient counseling, counting, labeling, filing and billing of prescribed products. Coordinates delivery, as necessary.

Coordinates care (with a multi‑disciplinary team) directly with patients and caregivers.

Works with other team members and outside entities (insurance companies, PBMs, manufacturers) to obtain/verify patient financial responsibilities.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or Doctorate in Pharmacy)
• Must be licensed by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum 1–3 years of job‑related experience.
• Possesses good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read and write printed material in English.
• Works well with other health care workers and performs as a team member.
• Customer‑service minded.
