Activity Therapist
Under the direction of the Clinical Services Manager for Day Treatment, the Activity Therapist is responsible for utilizing a variety of activities to enhance the physical and emotional well-being of day treatment patients. The Activity Therapist utilizes group content that is aligned with the program philosophy and governing evidenced based practices. The Activity Therapist is a collaborative member of the interdisciplinary team.
The Activity Therapist must be certified in Ohio as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Recreational Therapist, or Expressive Therapist to provide such services, which may occur in group sessions or individually. The Activity Therapist demonstrates and models Dayton Childrens values through effective interaction with patients, families, and treatment team members while providing excellent care.
Education:
Bachelors Degree in related field is required
Certifications:

- MT-BC Music Therapist Board Certified
- Certification Board for Music Therapists - Board Certified Art Therapists (ATR-BC) - THE ART THERAPY CREDENTIALS BOARD, INC
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists
- National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification - Occupational Therapy Assistant
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT) - Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist
- American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA)
