Job Description Shriners Children's Ohio has an opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant in our Inpatient Unit. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Hours:

The part-time, day shift position is 24 hours/week, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.

Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.

Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.

Assists with the planning and provision of structured, age appropriate activities for patients under the guidance or direction of a Child Life Therapist.

Monitors children’s activities and maintains a safe physical and psychosocial environment for children.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Ohio STNA license

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications:

One year of pediatric experience

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
