36 Job Details:
The EEG Technologist II under general supervision of the Neurologists and Senior Technologist provides electro neurodiagnostic testing (EEG, AEEG, EMU, and EVP) performing tests for patients of various age ranges. Tests are performed in the lab or at the patient's bedside and at various off sites which could include a non DCH facility. Interacts with other techs to ensure teamwork and provide support to other department personnel to maintain consistent and quality testing/customer service.
The EEG Tech II provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures. The EEG Tech II performs all core functions of the EEG Tech I and may also perform the following responsibilities:
Wada, PET, and Ictal SPECT. Strong well-developed communication skills are essential for this position. The EEG Tech II performs procedures appropriate to their competence and credentials held under general technical supervision. This position may require working days, nights and/or weekends and holidays as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be Board Eligible but does not need to have: REEGT Certification Radiological Electroencephalography Technologist - ABRET or other National registry.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree or certificate in neurodiagnostic technology. CAAHEP-accredited program preferred 3+ years pediatric experience
