Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 Hours a week, 72 hours per pay period

The Patient Care Technician is employed by Miami Valley Hospital to enhance the nature and quality of patient care through a relationship with a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse. The Patient Care Technician assists the RN/LPN by performing assigned tasks for which he/she is trained, facilitating direct care and the nursing process.
QualificationsEducation:
You'll need a high school diploma or GED.
Training:
You'll need to get a BLS CPR certificate. If you don’t already have it, they can teach you how to do CPR at your orientation, too (so you don't need to do it beforehand).
Experience:
Successful completion of one of the following:
Performing fundamental skills of vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) & direct patient care activities ie. Bathing, turning/positioning, toileting
* Special Consideration:
If the candidate has previous direct patient care experience, they may be excused from fundamental training (BCOP) upon completion of successful skills validation. This is in lieu of the above requirements. *

- * You're good at organizing things.
- * You can talk and listen well to others.
