HR Generalist / Talent Management, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a HR Business Partner. This position will be located in Dayton, Ohio.
SummaryThe HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This role formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
Responsibilities- Participate in regular business unit leadership meetings as scheduled
- Consult with department leaders and management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR and business group leaders to develop value-added solutions, programs, and policies
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct investigations as needed
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance; partner with the legal department as needed/required
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Provide guidance and input on reorganization, workforce planning, and succession planning
- Identify training needs for business unit and individual executive coaching needs
- Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success and follow up to ensure training objectives are met
- Act as a role model for ethical leadership and foster a positive workplace culture
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- 8+ years related human resources experience; preferably in HRBP position
- SHRM (or international equivalent professional body) Certified Professional credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology or related field and 6+ years related experience, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience
