Job Summary/Basic Function:
This position plays a critical role in the support of both undergraduate and graduate international applications for admission to Wright State University. Execute recruitment efforts for international students, via virtual and in-person methods. Provide prospective WSU students with correct information to ensure a smooth transition into the WSU community. Develop, cultivate new and old relationships with external organizations to maximize recruitment efforts.
Synchronize all necessary platforms and college platforms to provide form processing and data collection in a timely manner to ensure that all processes are smooth for both applicant and the university.
Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Essential Functions and percent of time:
Recruitment and Outreach (45%)
Recruitment: execute recruitment efforts for international students, via virtual and in-person methods. Provide prospective WSU students with correct information to ensure a smooth transition into the WSU community. Develop, cultivate new and old relationships with external organizations to maximize recruitment efforts.
- Assist the admissions leadership team with Slate, Banner, and Whats App to create and maintain an automated communication for student inquiries.
- Assist the admissions leadership team in identifying patterns within the application pipeline to develop new recruitment opportunities.
- Administer the support for prospective international undergraduate and graduate students through the admission process. Advise applicants about procedures, policies, and regulations related to all types of international students at the University. Acquire and maintain knowledge of undergraduate and graduate policies related to different non-student immigration statuses required to provide smooth operations and customer service up to WSU standards.
- Assist and execute in developing communication standards for the office primary medium of communications such as Email and Whatsapp. Design automated messages, for each medium, for “standard inquiries” and execute/oversee such messages are sent.
- Serve as representative for UCIE International Admissions on campus to meet and work on common goals with other campus units as necessary. Collaborate with WSU undergraduate and graduate admissions to ensure a cohesive university messaging to provide customer service up to WSU standards.
- Participate and execute strategic international enrollment management strategies developed by the office of international admissions.
- Coordinate efforts in recruitment territory, including language schools, community colleges, international ESL programs throughout Ohio. Constant upkeep of territory is needed to ensure WSU is able to maximize its immigration transfer recruitment efforts.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with language schools and local colleges by visiting and maintaining direct contact.
- Create and coordinate with Education USA offices abroad for virtual recruitment efforts.
- Coordinate and assist in virtual recruitment efforts in collaboration with the international admissions leadership.
- Prepare budget recommendations for recruitment and travel. Monitor and implement budget approvals.
- Correspond with prospective students via telephone calls, email, texting, face-to-face and virtual appointments.
- Conduct and develop presentations to represent Wright State University in the world.
- Represents the international admissions team when needed.
