HR Generalist

Lake City Plating is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our associates and help drive the success of our human resources operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, maintaining accurate information, and helping ensure compliance with employment policies and regulations.

About the Role

The HR Generalist works closely with the Human Resources Manager and company leadership to provide day-to-day HR support across the organization. Responsibilities include benefits administration, onboarding support, training, and employment compliance. This role requires professionalism, discretion, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support administration of employee benefit programs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, job postings, interview coordination, and onboarding activities.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR leadership throughout the hiring and offer process.
  • Help identify effective recruiting strategies and sourcing methods for a variety of positions.
  • Internal communications using Microsoft Office and other written or electronic formats.
  • Track required employee training and assist with related follow-up.
  • Participate in job fairs, recruiting events, and company functions as needed.
  • Assist with creating and updating job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Support compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Two or more years of Human Resources experience
  • Two of more years of experience working within an HRIS platform
  • Two or more years of experience with employment laws, hiring practices, and recruitment best practices.
  • Valid drivers license and personal vehicle is required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and remain proactive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to learn applicant tracking systems, recruiting platforms, or other HR-related systems.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or a related field, or a combination of education and HR experience.
  • UKG experience is a plus
  • Experience administering employee benefit programs.
  • HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP is a plus.
Work Environment and

Physical Requirements

This position primarily works in an office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. The role also includes occasional interaction with a manufacturing environment where personal protective equipment may be required. The position involves regular communication, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, filing, bending, and occasional lifting or moving of items up to 30 pounds.

Schedule and Travel

This is a full-time position, typically scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Some Saturdays may be required for planned job fairs or company events. Local travel between locations is required.
