Position Summary
Seeking a highly qualified Systems Administrator to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. The effort requires the maintenance and enhancement of an application and its underlying services/microservices while identifying future capability needs and eliminating overlaps. The team will continuously improve sustainment and development in order to reinvest resources to provide new capabilities and improve the effectiveness, quality, and robustness of the underlying technology.
Our applications are focused on intelligence analysis and collection management directly supporting intelligence analysts and operators across the intelligence community and Combatant Commands. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the design and implementation of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware. The candidate will possess expert working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and will be able to analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
- Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks, including account monitoring, security, OS installation, and other local area system administration functions.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Participate in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy; present IV&V results; troubleshoot technical issues; and recommend quality improvements.
- Provide day-to-day operational support for IT systems, including monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network and mobile devices.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Provide support for the dispatch of system and hardware issues and remain involved through resolution.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Install and load operating system and application software.
- Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
- Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of, and configure network components; implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems, including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
- Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
- DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT) Level II and IA Management (IAM) Level II.
- Experience supporting systems under DoD/DIA RMF.
- Understanding of Linux (CentOS) environments.
- Understanding of Oracle environments.
- Expert working knowledge of system administration interdependencies within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- IC experience preferred.
- 10+ years program/application ops experience preferred.
- Strong prioritization/analytical skills.
- Strong risk management, communication, teamwork, conflict management.
