Concept Plus is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide senior technical leadership supporting Air Force IT systems development and operations, with a focus on system infrastructure, environment management, and platform sustainment. This role requires knowledge and understanding of Air Force IT processes and technology stack (Dev Sec Ops CI/CD, Cloud One, Oracle, Java). Air Force systems are deployed in classified and unclassified environments in DISA and Cloud.
The Systems Administrator provides thought leadership in modernizing and enhancing Air Force systems through secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure and platform capabilities, and serves as a primary interface with the customer/Program Management Office. The Systems Administrator supports and coordinates with capability delivery teams including development Scrums, Cloud Engineering, and Dev Sec Ops Platform to ensure system availability, performance, security, and operational stability across all environments.
Whatyou’ll do
- Management and troubleshooting of environments, as needed (related to network, server, certificate, etc).
- Patching, upgrading, developing deployment plans and other maintenance activities.
- Support and management of AWS Gov Cloud development environments.
- Evaluating and applying DoD Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) and IAVMs in support of a continuous monitoring approach.
- Work with development team and customer to derive new requirements as well as implement changes.
- Create and update system documentation.
- Recommend process and technical improvements to continuously improve the posture of the system and efficiencies.
- Responsible for sustainment and enhancements of the customers AWS Gov Cloud operating environment.
- Responsible for supporting the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) activities of multiple software teams who design, develop, and deploy web technologies.
- Work within an environment of rapid growth and must anticipate and respond effectively to mission needs as they emerge.
- The position duties include monitoring and sustaining the Dev Sec Ops pipeline (i.e. Git Hub, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Sonar Qube, K8, Xray).
- Automation Leadership:
Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation of CI/CD processes using tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Ansible, or Terraform. - Release Management:
Manage end-to-end software releases, providing traceability, monitoring, and troubleshooting in Dev, Stage, and Production environments. - Must understand DoD cyber security requirements and be very familiar with security aspects of maintaining servers and applications (patching, analyzing possible vulnerabilities).
- Should possess very solid experience in system design and management, especially as relates to supporting web applications.
- Good understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to communicate information in a timely and accurate manner.
- Knowledge of various protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP and REST
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance
