Compensation* Base salary: $85,000 to $100,000 (depending on experience)
* Bonus structure: based on revenue and production earned above the base salary range
* Firm‑provided new client opportunities (new leads provided through the firm’s marketing)
About the RoleWe are hiring an Estate Planning Attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience in estate planning and elder law. This attorney will meet with prospective and existing clients, design estate plans, lead signing meetings, and deliver completed plans. You should be smart, great with people, and very detail‑oriented. You should also enjoy working with seniors and helping families plan with confidence.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Meet with new prospective clients (all provided by the firm) to learn goals, explain options, and recommend a plan
- Meet with existing clients to review, update, and improve estate plans over time
- Design estate plans tailored to each client’s needs, with a strong focus on senior clients
- Draft and oversee preparation of estate planning documents (with staff support as applicable)
- Lead signing meetings and ensure documents are executed correctly
- Deliver completed estate plans and clearly explain how to use and maintain them
- Maintain accurate files and ensure details are correct across documents and client records
- Work closely with the team to provide an excellent client experience from first meeting through plan delivery
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in Ohio (or able to become licensed promptly)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in estate planning and/or elder law
- Strong client meeting skills and comfort leading consultations
- Excellent attention to detail and strong follow‑through
- Strong drafting and writing skills
- Experience working with seniors and their families
- Comfort explaining legal concepts in plain language
- Experience managing a full client workflow (initial consult to signing and delivery)
- Smart and prepared
