Safety Manager
Join a respected, family‑oriented specialty mechanical contractor as a Safety Manager in a highly visible, field‑driven leadership role. This is not a desk job—you will spend the majority of your time on active job sites coaching crews, identifying risks, and strengthening the company’s safety culture across major commercial and industrial projects.
Must‑Have Qualifications- 7+ years of progressive safety experience in commercial construction (HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal, electrical, drywall, masonry, or similar trades)
- 3+ years in a leadership role (Foreman, Supervisor, Lead, or Manager)
- Required certifications: OSHA 500 or 501 and OSHA 510 (Construction) or OSHA 511 (General Industry)
- Strong ability to influence field teams and enforce safety standards constructively
- Comfortable with regional travel to job sites (Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Indiana; no overnight travel)
- Demonstrated stable career history with long‑term tenure in prior roles
Highly Preferred: CHST or CSP certification

Support large‑scale HVAC systems, chillers, process piping, and Design‑Build MEP work across Healthcare, Education, Industrial, and Municipal sectors
- Conduct job site inspections and audits to identify hazards, ensure OSHA compliance, and stop unsafe work when necessary
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and manage corrective actions and documentation
- Partner with HR on Transitional Work (Return‑to‑Work) programs
- Deliver engaging, hands‑on safety training and manage the Hazard Communication Program
- Recommend and procure PPE and safety equipment; ensure tools and machinery meet safety standards
- Serve as the external safety liaison with OSHA, fire departments, emergency responders, and trade groups
- Lead and continuously improve the company’s safety programs and committee initiatives
- Salary: $90,000 – $105,000
- Performance Bonus: 5% – 8% annually
