Regional Aquatics Supervisor

Full-Time | Dayton, Ohio

Position Summary

The Regional Aquatics Supervisor is a full-time leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations, staffing, and performance of multiple aquatic facilities within an assigned region. Working closely with the Regional Manager and General Manager, this position ensures facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Swim Safe Pool Management's operational standards.

The Regional Aquatics Supervisor serves as a leader, mentor, and operational resource for facility managers while maintaining strong relationships with clients, municipal partners, and community stakeholders. This position requires strong organizational skills, independent decision-making, and a commitment to delivering exceptional aquatic operations.

Reports To: Regional Manager or General Manager

Regional Operations
  • Support the Regional Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of all assigned facilities.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and health department requirements.
  • Monitor facility conditions and identify operational, maintenance, and staffing needs.
  • Assist with troubleshooting operational challenges and implementing solutions.
  • Coordinate seasonal opening, startup, winterization, and facility shutdown procedures.
  • Assist in planning and overseeing capital improvement and off-season maintenance projects.
Client & Community Relations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact, alongside the Regional Manager, for homeowners associations, municipalities, recreation departments, board members, and property management companies.
  • Attend board meetings, city meetings, contractor meetings, and facility walkthroughs as needed.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through responsive communication and professional service.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train seasonal managers and aquatic staff in collaboration with the administrative team.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop facility managers to promote strong leadership and operational consistency.
  • Conduct performance observations and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Assist with employee performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution when necessary.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and safety-focused workplace culture.
Operational Support
  • Coordinate the ordering and distribution of chemicals, equipment, uniforms, and operational supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with budgeting and purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure all facilities maintain accurate operational records, water chemistry logs, inspections, and required documentation.
  • Support emergency response planning and incident investigations when needed.
Communication & Administration
  • Maintain regular communication with the management and administrative teams regarding staffing, operations, maintenance, client concerns, and facility needs.
  • Prepare reports and documentation as requested.
  • Assist with company-wide initiatives, special projects, and operational improvements.
Qualifications Required
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple facilities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with company leadership.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.
Preferred
  • Experience in aquatics, parks and recreation, hospitality, facilities management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience supervising multiple locations or teams.
  • Lifeguard and/or Aquatic Facility Operator certifications, or willingness to obtain.

    Experience with water chemistry, pool operations, and seasonal staffing.
