Job Description & How to Apply Below

tep into a high-visibility leadership role where your customs expertise directly supports the delivery of life-saving medical equipment worldwide.

Job Description:

We are looking for a decisive, experienced Shipping and Logistics Supervisor to lead our shipping operations and serve as our internal authority on international trade compliance. Based in Wilmington, Ohio, our team manufactures mission-critical equipment used by emergency-care and public-safety professionals around the world. We need a leader who can take complete ownership of our shipping floor, establish a reliable rhythm with our planning team, and ensure our life-saving products reach international markets accurately, compliantly, and on time.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 10 shipping and documentation professionals, building a culture of accountability, safety, and high morale.
  • Serve as our subject-matter expert for international trade compliance, directly managing import and export documentation, HTS classifications, tariffs, and country-of-origin rules.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to route shipments efficiently and resolve clearance delays or holds immediately.
  • Partner closely with our planning, customer service, and manufacturing teams to align shipping schedules with finished-goods availability and customer expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the shipping department by establishing visual controls, managing KPIs, and controlling inbound and outbound freight costs.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of direct experience managing customs compliance, international logistics, and import/export documentation.
  • Proven leadership experience directly supervising and developing a shipping or logistics team.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of HTS codes, tariff classifications, Incoterms, and country-of-origin requirements.
  • A track record of successfully coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders to manage LTL, container, and air freight.
  • Experience using ERP, shipping, or global-trade-management systems to track and audit compliance information.
  • A background in a manufacturing environment, particularly one that is FDA-regulated or similarly controlled, is highly preferred.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role where your expertise will be trusted, valued, and rewarded. We offer a $70,000 to $85,000 base salary, a target annual incentive of 15%, and unlimited PTO for our salaried leaders.
