Duration: 3 month contract with probable extension/conversion to a full time employee
Position Description:
This is a full-time position in Dayton, OH. The position is to provide assistance to the project management team supporting automation and robotics technologies. The work will primarily support government customers, but some industrial business may be supported as well. Specific work tasks include taking meeting minutes; updating and managing action items; preparing briefing slides; updating project management tools such as MS Project or Excel spreadsheets;
setting up meetings and managing calendars. This will all be done to assist the project managers with managing all phases of a project and a program:
Initiation, Definition and Planning, Execution, Implementation, Control and Closure. Further, this position would assist the project or program manager in managing cost, schedule, performance, risk, change and quality for all assigned projects and programs. This position will also support the financial objectives by assisting with forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
- 2 years’ experience in an area of business management.
- Experience with technical project management responsibilities including managing cost, schedule, performance, scope, risk, change and/or quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Credentialed as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) through the Project Management Institute or a Defense Acquisition University DAWIA level 1 (or higher) certification in project management.
- Working knowledge of US Air Force policies and procedures.
- Self-starter with excellent writing and briefing skills.
- Effective interpersonal communications skills.
- Experience with creating Integrated Master Plans and Integrated Master Schedules.
- Familiarity with MS Project or other project management software tools or applications.
- Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated effective verbal communications with client at senior levels of leadership.
- Demonstrated successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
