Position SummaryThis position exists to manage and coordinate the daily operations,budget, and contract administration of the Academic and Workforce Innovation ( AWI ) division. This position manages the operating procedures of AWI and maintains close and effective working relationships with personnel across all program areas and departments within the division. The position is instrumental in managing staffing, budgets, contracts, and the operational needs of departments across AWI, so that employers, community members,faculty, staff, and learners receive well-coordinated outstanding customer service.
This role also leads and coordinates specialdivision-wide functions and special events under the direction ofthe Vice Provost and directly supervises division office staff while overseeing budget, procurement, and contract functions. The position will work with departments across AWI to managedivision-wide events, communications, purchasing, contracts,budgets, and facility-related functions.
The salary for this position begins at $59,661.00 and is commensurate with education and experience.

Principal Accountabilities- Plan, direct, and evaluate all division operations working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Supervise, train, and/or coordinate division office staff,student workers, and interns to ensure all services are effectively and efficiently delivered
- Lead appropriate projects and administrative functions such asbudget administration, contract compliance, and facility-related operations
- Manage and negotiate all contractual obligations for the division, ensuring compliance and coordination with the AWIdivision office, Accounting, Purchasing, Payroll, and Business Services department
- Gather and analyze financial, usage, and operations data; make recommendations based on findings
- Develop, monitor, and manage the division’s operating budget,including forecasting and variance analysis, in conjunction withthe Director of Operations and Program Directors
- Review and maintain division communications and materials to facilitate internal and external communications in coordination with the Marketing and other departments
- Facilitate planning, preparation, and execution of divisionevents
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in operational orproject management required; financial management, budgeting, orcontract administration experience required
- Ability to manage complex projects to completion required
- Demonstrated budget and contract management experience required
- Attention to detail is required with a preference for processand routine required
- Proven ability to maintain patience and professionalism in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Ability to manage multiple service and outreach initiatives while working with faculty, staff, students, and externalconstituents without losing focus of principle accountabilitiespreferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred
- Ability to establish rapport and inspire confidence and trust;strong customer satisfaction orientation preferred
- Presentation and facilitation skills required, in addition tostrong oral and written communication skills that promote understanding and buy-in preferred
