Production Manager, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer
Brief Description
Are you a natural leader with a "precision mindset"? We are looking for a Production Group Leader to spearhead our night shift operations. As a key player in our manufacturing facility, you will oversee a team dedicated to producing high‑quality components for life‑saving, minimally invasive surgical devices. You aren't just a supervisor; you are the bridge between complex engineering requirements and the skilled team that brings them to life.
You will ensure safety, quality, and production goals are met while maintaining the high standards required for medical‑grade components.
- Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and support a team of machinists and operators to ensure peak performance and morale during the night shift. - Operational Oversight:
Manage daily production schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining strict adherence to ISO 13485 and FDA standards. - Technical Support:
Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting production issues, ideally leveraging a background in CNC Machining. - Quality Assurance:
Ensure all components meet the exacting tolerances required for surgical instruments; conduct regular floor audits and documentation reviews. - Communication:
Provide seamless handovers between shifts and report directly to the Operations Manager regarding production metrics and personnel updates.
- Experience:
Proven leadership experience (Team Lead, Supervisor, or Group Lead) within a manufacturing environment. - Technical Savvy: A strong background in CNC Machining (Milling, Turning, or Swiss‑style) is highly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with medical device manufacturing or another highly regulated industry (Aerospace, Automotive) is a major plus. - Problem‑Solving:
Ability to make critical decisions independently during off‑hours. - Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a team in a fast‑paced, high‑precision setting.
