Summary :
The Quality Analyst/ISO Coordinator is responsible for driving sustainable excellence in quality during the production cycle. This is accomplished by providing technical leadership within the quality discipline, driving adherence to systems and processes, and training colleagues in the proper use of measuring and test equipment procedures while maintaining a strong customer focus. This position requires efficient product/process problem‑solving and data‑driven decision making in a fast‑paced environment to eliminate root cause(s) and prevent recurrences of non‑conformances (internal and external).
The Quality Analyst will frequently be expected to collaborate directly with customers as well as internal departments to effectively resolve various quality issues. He/she must be able to drive continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Job Functions:
- Provide problem solving and quality system support for assigned departments by evaluating the processes of the assigned departments to define CTQ characteristics based on historical performance.
- Take the lead role in managing issues reported by the customer (internal and external) that rise above normal day‑to‑day importance levels. This includes but not limited to CAPA’s, PPAP’s, and APQP’s.
- Oversee the execution of corrective actions and provide leadership to the departments during root cause analysis.
- Perform the role of subject matter expert for the quality management system and hold action owners accountable for their assigned non‑conformance by scheduling and coordinating RC/CA working sessions.
- Interface with all levels of management as well as significant customer interaction.
- Work with Process and Product Engineering as part of the continuous improvement team to investigate and resolve in‑process quality issues identified in the manufacturing/assembly process and at the customer.
- Compile data for monthly metrics and provide updates on assigned projects.
- Responsible for ISO system documents to maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification. Schedule and lead re‑certification and surveillance audits.
- Coordinate calibration program.
Required Skills
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical reasoning, and fundamentals of trigonometry and solid geometry.
- Ability to break down problems, think creatively to make effective decisions, and generate sustainable solutions.
- Be able to pivot and adjust priority to meet the needs of the business.
- Proficient with MS Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note).
- Ability to demonstrate professional and respectful communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Has a consistently positive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to learn.
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes:
Assembly, HVAC, stamping, welding, brazing, metal fabrication, and/or electric motors. - Experience working with quality management systems (e.g., QT9) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Syteline).
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
- Experience working with auditors.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Associate’s degree in engineering or a related field with 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma with 6+ years of relevant Quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings (GD&T), manufacturing methods, procedures, work instructions, and quality control plans, etc.
- ASQ and/or Six Sigma (GB or BB) certifications are a plus.
- Experience in an ISO regulated manufacturing environment, preferably heavy manufacturing with tight tolerance requirements.
- Experience with CMM’s, FARO Arms, Hexagon Absolute Arms, Keyence, and/or Micro‑Vu equipment (both running and programming) is a plus.
- Experience with statistical process capability and gage R&R is a plus.
