Micro TIG Welder (Manufacturing)

The Micro TIG Welder is responsible for performing high-precision welding operations on small-scale metal components used in medical devices and surgical instruments. This role requires exceptional manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently produce clean, high-quality welds under microscopes using micro-TIG (GTAW) equipment. The welder will work closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to support production, prototypes, and continuous improvement in a regulated medical manufacturing environment.

• Welding & Fabrication:
  Perform micro TIG welding under a microscope on small and delicate components such as stainless steel and other medical grade alloys.
• Weld to tight tolerances following engineering drawings, work instructions, and weld specifications.
• Assemble, repair, and finish precision components for medical devices and surgical tools.
• Operate and maintain micro TIG equipment, fixturing, and inspection tools.

• Inspect welds using microscopes, gauges, and measurement tools to ensure compliance with ISO , and internal quality standards.
• Document work accurately on routers, digital systems, or DHRs (Device History Records).
• Follow strict cleanroom or controlled environment protocols when required.
• Participate in nonconformance investigations and support root cause analysis activities.

• Work with engineers on prototype development, weld characterization, and process optimization.
• Provide feedback on manufacturability, weld joint design, and process improvements.
• Assist with developing and refining WPS (Weld Procedure Specifications).
