Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a CNC Programmer located in Dayton, OH. The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to ensure the efficient and precise production of parts. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, assisting in setting up CNC machines, troubleshooting programming issues, collaborating with machinists, making accurate setup sheets and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role also involves continuous improvement efforts to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation- you should be comfortable walking your first part thru.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (especially Esprit) and G-code programming
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for CNC machine operation and processing
    - Okuma lathe knowledge is a plus.
  • Understanding of machining processes (turning and processing of parts to be finished post heat treat)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and quality assurance practices
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with machinists and engineers
  • Previous experience in a similar role or environment is highly desirable
  • Vocational training or certification in CNC programming or precision machining is an advantage
