Job purpose

The Vice President of North America Manufacturing is responsible for driving operational excellence, cultural leadership, and profitable growth across our manufacturing operations. This leader will shape the long-term manufacturing strategy while simultaneously delivering KPI performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. This role requires a hands‑on, visible leader who can operate at both the shop‑floor and executive team levels.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Develop and execute a multi‑year manufacturing strategy aligned with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Provide managerial and supervisory direction and support to manufacturing, engineering, supply management and quality personnel.
  • Serve as a key member of the North America leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy.
  • Own operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity, ensuring achievement of budget commitments
  • Ensure manufacturing supports aggressive service and growth commitments to customers.
  • Establish disciplined, data‑driven reporting processes that provide accurate, timely performance visibility to both internal leadership and corporate stakeholders, enabling proactive decision‑making and accountability.
  • Complete analysis of operational results and implement timely corrective actions to drive sustained improvement and ensure alignment with corporate performance expectations.
  • Develop, present, and execute the annual operating plan, including manufacturing and capital expenditures, ensuring disciplined cost management and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Establishes quality systems and processes to ensure customer’s product quality is achieved.
  • Ensures that a safe work place exists and meets all local and federal requirements in addition to meeting all environmental regulations are met.
  • Oversee production planning, capacity management, and workforce alignment to ensure efficient product flow and reliable on‑time delivery.
  • Lead enterprise‑wide continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lean principles and structured problem‑solving to drive measurable gains in cost reduction, scrap reduction, and productivity.
  • Maximizes the utilization of manufacturing resources through rigorous review of production processes and evaluation of in‑house and outsourcing opportunities.
  • Develop and coach operational leaders through structured performance management, succession planning, and capability development to build long‑term organizational strength.
  • Maintain a strong, visible presence within operations, fostering engagement, accountability, and alignment across all levels of the manufacturing organization.
  • Works collaborative with cross‑functional departments for the success of the overall business.
  • Requirements
    • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience (Plant Manager or higher)
    • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business required; MBA preferred
    • Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets, capital plans, supply chains and personnel performance.
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership, motivational and collaborative skills.
    • Demonstrated success leading lean transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

    Other job responsibilities will be assigned by management as required and as appropriate to the position.
