Job Title:Advanced Inspector – First Shift
Location:
Richmond, Indiana.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability levels.
- Select and test products at specified stages in the production process, evaluating dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
- Record test data and apply statistical quality control approaches.
- Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing requirements.
- Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within equipment limits.
- Set up and perform destructive or nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or characteristics.
- Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into a computer for analysis.
- Specialize in a particular area of quality control engineering (e.g., design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, inventory control, product reliability, research and development, or administrative applications).
- Assist with building work‑holding fixtures when inspection capacity allows for flexibility with an “all‑hands‑on‑deck” mentality.
- Champion and model Ahaus’ core values in daily actions and decision‑making.
- Foster a respectful, accountable, and collaborative team environment.
- Exhibit regular and predictable attendance.
- Complete other duties as assigned that may be required.
- 5 years of experience in an inspection or quality assurance role, preferably within a tool shop or manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating PCDmis software, Cordax 1000, Cordax RS 150 DCC, and Comparitor.
- Knowledge of micrometers, inspection tools, shop procedures, and tooling prints.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Typical manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to higher levels of noise, dust, debris, and chemicals.
- Standard physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
- May be required to climb stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
