Location:

Richmond, Indiana.

• Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability levels.
• Select and test products at specified stages in the production process, evaluating dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
• Record test data and apply statistical quality control approaches.
• Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing requirements.
• Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within equipment limits.
• Set up and perform destructive or nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or characteristics.
• Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into a computer for analysis.
• Specialize in a particular area of quality control engineering (e.g., design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, inventory control, product reliability, research and development, or administrative applications).
• Assist with building work‑holding fixtures when inspection capacity allows for flexibility with an “all‑hands‑on‑deck” mentality.
• Champion and model Ahaus’ core values in daily actions and decision‑making.

• Exhibit regular and predictable attendance.
• Complete other duties as assigned that may be required.

• 5 years of experience in an inspection or quality assurance role, preferably within a tool shop or manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating PCDmis software, Cordax 1000, Cordax RS 150 DCC, and Comparitor.
• Knowledge of micrometers, inspection tools, shop procedures, and tooling prints.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Typical manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to higher levels of noise, dust, debris, and chemicals.
• Standard physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
• May be required to climb stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
