• Setting production machinery for acceptable production processes and obtaining run approval.
• Ability to edit and interpret G and M Code
• Ability to prove out programs and set ups
• Ability to run 5 axis CNC Mills/ Lathes
• Analyze machine, tool, and program issues and makes basic repairs, as well as handling minor routine maintenance.
• Perform repetitive and custom work utilizing fixtures, machine stops, indexing devices, to control critical tolerances and dimensions.
• Assure conformance to quality specifications using a variety of gages and indicators.
• Effectively communicate with personnel at all levels.
• Meet production quantity and quality standards.
• Ensure safety guards and personal protective equipment are in place at all times.
• Follow and enforce work Instructions, procedures, and company policies.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
• Thorough knowledge of specific department equipment and their processes.
• Able to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions
• Able to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action.
• Must meet DOD eligibility requirements
• Minimum 5+ years CNC Machining experience
