Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer
Advantic Building Group is a design-build structural solutions company focused on building smarter, lighter, and more efficient infrastructure. We design, fabricate, and install systems using Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) — a high-performance material that helps our partners move faster, build safer, and reduce long‑term impact across mission‑critical and industrial environments.
But what truly sets Advantic apart isn’t just what we build — it’s how we work and who we work with.
We value individuals who are curious, accountable, and willing to lean in when things get challenging. At Advantic, culture isn’t a poster on the wall — it’s lived out every day in how we collaborate, problem‑solve, and support one another. If you’re looking for a place where your voice matters, your work has impact, and your growth is encouraged, you’ll feel at home here.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining fabrication processes across operations including CNC machining, manual cutting, advanced cutting operations, and assembly. This role drives operational excellence by improving quality, efficiency, cost performance, and production lead time while ensuring processes are safe, repeatable, and scalable. The Manufacturing Engineer partners cross‑functionally with Fab Logistics, Programming, Fabrication, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, Supply Chain, and Finance to support industrialization, continuous improvement, cost reduction initiatives, and digital process standardization.
Key Responsibilities Process Development and Optimization- Collaborate with fabrication team to create and optimize material flow, develop work instructions, setup sheets, and standard work to ensure safe, repeatable, and efficient production.
- Analyze cycle times, machine utilization data, and process flow to improve throughput, reduce lead time, and eliminate waste.
- Develop continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools and propose initiatives with a focus on hitting cost savings and efficiency goals.
- Partner with Fab Logistics, Programming, Fabrication, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, and Supply Chain to drive stable and predictable manufacturing performance with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement, and improve assembly processes to support safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing operations.
- Evaluate assembly workflows and identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize labor utilization.
- Support production teams by troubleshooting assembly‑related issues and driving timely resolution of manufacturing challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure manufacturability, ease of assembly, and critical to quality measures are met.
- Design, implement, and support assembly tooling, fixtures, and error‑proofing solutions to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Lead PFMEA, process flow diagrams, and control plans for assigned processes.
- Develop and maintain an Engineering Change Management process to document and control the release of changes to operations such as SOPs, WIs, Setup Documentation, Standard Tooling, etc.
- Create and ensure team has clear, user‑friendly work instructions and visual aids for operators.
- Work with quality team to lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for internal defects, customer complaints, and audit findings by identifying critical characteristics and implementing appropriate inspection and control methods.
- Ensure processes meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
- Develop and manage process‑related budgets including tooling, fixtures, equipment improvements, and capital expenditures.
- Support capital planning activities including ROI analysis, cost justification, and payback calculations for new equipment or process improvements.
- Identify and lead cost‑reduction initiatives through cycle time improvements, scrap reduction, yield improvement, labor optimization, and material utilization.
- Track and report cost savings from continuous improvement projects and validate financial impact with…
