Position: Computerized Machine Operator (CMO) 3rd Shift – TDI

Job Description

Role Overview:

  • Be proficient and perform CMO operations in assigned cell
  • Use pneumatic tools, hand tools and calibrated gauges to perform work
  • Operate machine(s) in a prescribed safe manner
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance
  • Verify calibration
  • Maintain eQuals requirements
  • Use standards shop measuring devices (calipers and micrometers)
  • Basic housekeeping of cell (5S)
  • Review, understand and follow work instructions, required specifications and blueprints to perform manufacturing operations
  • Ensure all company paperwork is filled out accurately
  • Fully understand blueprints
  • Identify revision levels
  • Produce error‑free products
  • Meet production goals
  • Cross‑train
  • Work under general direction with minimal coaching in a team environment
  • Work to established Lean Manufacturing guidelines
  • Understand safety requirements within assigned area and operate within company safety guidelines
  • Basic understanding of processes in one area within your home cell
  • Keep team informed of work progress, timelines, and issues
  • Will also perform other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate:

Perform essential duties and responsibilities in service cells which includes working with a variety of computerized/manual machines and manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 6 months of manufacturing related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior assembly and/or disassembly experience; prior machine operating experience
  • Experience with manual or automated welding process
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers and other gauges used to perform inspection
  • Education or experience in programming and operations in programmable controllers
  • PC experience in use of email, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Word
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and a cellular work environment
  • Ability/prior experience reading and understanding routers and process instructions
  • Tube bending experience
  • CVP in Hydro and/or Boroscope
  • Knowledge of swage, shrink processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service to co‑workers, customers, and vendors; works collaboratively and respects all others
  • Embraces ambiguity and engages others in idea generation
  • Actively participates and supports a team environment

Benefits and Salary:

  • Wages $22.50 per hour
  • Occasional mandatory overtime; must be able to work overtime when required
  • Must be able to stand at least 6–8 hours a day; must be able to walk, sit, or stoop on a regular basis
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally; items over 30 pounds will be lifted with assistance
  • Required to pass certification standards test and eye examination
  • Willing to undergo on‑the‑job training to obtain CVP certification within first 6 months as an Associate CMO
  • Willing to participate in MRO drug‑free workplace program
