Unified Talent Group is supporting the search for a Production Manager in the Dayton OH area, to lead daily manufacturing operations within a growing industrial organization. This role is responsible for overseeing production performance, driving operational excellence, and building strong, high-performing teams across the facility.
In this role, you will be partnered with frontline leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals are consistently achieved while supporting continuous improvement and long-term operational success.
Key Responsibilities- Lead manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met
- Supervise, coach, and develop frontline supervisors and production team members
- Drive operational excellence initiatives to improve efficiency, throughput, and uptime
- Manage staffing, production schedules, materials flow, and resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and production alignment
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and optimize performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes and systems
- Monitor key performance indicators and support corrective action plans when needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a strong safety culture
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and workflow management
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with production tracking systems or ERP tools
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership or production management
- Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to manage performance, accountability, and team development
- Experience in multi-shift manufacturing operations preferred
