Systems Engineer
Position Overview
A Project Scheduler is needed within Warfare Systems, a business group in HII’s Mission Technologies division. The role supports a portfolio of first‑of‑their‑kind systems, working with multiple technical experts, subcontractors, and stakeholders. The position is located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

- Provide scheduling support for coordination of programs across all phases, both internal and with subcontractors.
- Build WBS and project schedules based on Statement of Work and stakeholder inputs.
- Proactively identify schedule opportunities, risks, and potential mitigations.
- Assist program leadership in deconflicting personnel and facility resources among multiple projects.
- Schedule major meetings and test events aligned with project needs and key personnel availability.
- Create schedule summary visualizations and narratives to communicate status to leadership, project team, and stakeholders.
- Perform “what if” analyses to illustrate schedule impacts of potential courses of action.
- 6 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field; or 4 years with a Master’s; or High School Diploma with 10 years relevant experience.
- Experience developing and managing schedules using Microsoft Project for complex engineering, software, and manufacturing projects.
- Secure a Secret clearance to start; ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with enhanced security checks.
- Experience with SSI Tools.
- 14‑point schedule assessments and other quality checks.
- Integration of internal and subcontractor schedules.
- Developing resource‑loaded schedules, labor estimates, and Basis of Estimates for proposals.
- Scheduling for both waterfall and agile methodologies.
Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for office work environment.
