Job Description
Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
Job Functions- Responsible for the successful lean practices of Dayton Phoenix Group to help the facility operating at maximum efficiency
- Optimize material flow throughout the plant
- Observe and analyze cycle time and efficiency for new and existing equipment and processes
- Maintain an accurate plant layout using CAD software
- Maintain items, production BOM’s and routings using ERP software
- Develop and maintain packaging standards for shipments
- Analyze annual sales forecast to propose and justify new equipment
- Estimate and analyze cost requests
- Manage cost reductions and improvements
- Knowledge of practical application of engineering and technology as well as machinery design, use, repair and maintenance
- Ability to identify complex problems, use logic and reasoning for solutions and create original ideas
- Ability to identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities and detecting changes
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, principles and implementation
- Ability to observe, receive and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources
- Ability to be safety oriented
- Knowledge and experience in CAD software
- Ability to be open to change, function independently with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of computer skills and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of ERP software
- Ability to communicate well across multifunctional departments
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- High school diploma or GED required
- 4 year Industrial Engineering degree or 4 year degree in related field with applicable experience required
