We are looking for an experienced Material Handler to join our team! The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, organizing, and transporting materials to meet operational needs. This position also supports on-campus deliveries by serving as the alternate driver when needed.
Responsibilities- Load, unload, sort, and prepare materials
- Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and shrink wrap machines
- Follow a detailed color-coding system to sort and deliver material
- Use computer systems to update and track inventory
- Utilize tools such as sanders or saws to assist in material preparation
- Drive company vehicles including vans, box trucks, and flatbed trucks
- Follow delivery instructions, routes, and schedules
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous forklift experience required
- Previous experience driving box trucks and/or flatbed trucks is preferred
- Ability to distinguish colors for color-coded delivery system
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis with or without assistance
- Ability to stand, sit, and move about the facility as needed
