Material Handler

Position Overview:
Operate a power-driven forklift to load, unload, store and deliver aluminum coils, in-process supplies, materials and finished products (including up to 30,000 lb. capacity machinery as required). Service production/shipping areas with materials and supplies as needed. Unload materials from trucks and load materials into trucks for shipment to the customer. Store materials by type and size in assigned storage area. Move coils/supplies for storage in a manner prescribed by safety rules.
Empty gondolas as needed of rubbish and scrap. Maintain inventory and housekeeping. Transport drums of waste oils and chemicals to proper storage areas and label appropriately.
Job Requirements:
Must have an excellent safety record and experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of computer systems. This position requires more than just driving; it is highly active, detail-oriented, and team focused role.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- The team member frequently is required to climb or balance and talk or hear.
- The team member is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
