Lathe Operator

FC Industries Inc., a family-owned precision metalworking company in Dayton, OH, is seeking a Lathe Operator to machine high-quality metal components for diverse industries. In this role, you will set up and operate manual and/or CNC lathes, read blueprints, select tooling, and hold tight tolerances while following strict safety and quality standards. You'll inspect parts with precision measuring tools, perform basic machine maintenance, and work closely with a supportive, team-oriented group.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual/CNC lathes to machine metal components to specification
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Select tooling, set speeds/feeds, and adjust offsets for optimal machining
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and safe
• Monitor production, identify issues, and make necessary adjustments
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
• Document production data and follow quality and safety procedures

Required Skills
