DSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry leading nutraceuticals company who is looking to add a senior-level injection molding expert to their team. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading and optimizing injection molding operations within a high-volume, regulated manufacturing environment. This position focuses on process ownership, tooling performance, quality compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting production teams and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and optimize injection molding processes to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency targets
  • Lead process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), capability studies, and establish standard process documentation
  • Apply scientific molding, DOE, and SPC techniques to reduce variation and improve product consistency
  • Partner with quality and compliance teams to support audits and ensure adherence to regulatory and GMP standards
  • Drive mold design improvements in collaboration with tooling vendors (cooling, gating, venting, materials)
  • Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for molds and tooling
  • Lead capital and continuous improvement projects including tooling launches, transfers, and equipment installations
  • Provide hands-on technical support to production teams, troubleshooting molding equipment and processes
  • Champion Lean/Six Sigma initiatives (DMAIC, kaizen, SMED) to improve flow and reduce waste
  • Ensure accurate documentation including process sheets, control plans, SOPs, and maintenance records
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of injection molding experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with tooling, mold maintenance, and process troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated project management experience delivering technical initiatives on time
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., GMP)
