Healthy Harvest Corps- Dayton

Responsibilities

Healthy Harvest Corps Ameri Corps volunteers will help implement innovative “food as medicine” initiatives and expand access to healthy food in the community. Members will gain hands‑on experience in nutrition, public health, outreach, and program development while strengthening medically tailored grocery box programs and implementing Healthy Eating Research (HER) guidelines. Activities may include:

• Researching and ranking healthy food options.
• Packing and distributing food boxes.
• Developing educational and marketing materials.
• Directing volunteers.
• Gathering client and partner feedback.
• Promoting community resources.
• Coordinating food distributions.
• Managing urban garden activities and inventory.
• Outreach with healthcare and community partners.

The position offers flexible hours with Fridays off.
