About Girls on the Run of DaytonGirls on the Run of Dayton inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident through an engaging, evidence-based curriculum that creatively integrates running and physical activity. Our council serves girls throughout Clark, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, and Preble counties.
Girls on the Run of Dayton is seeking an energetic, organized, and dependable Part-Time Council Coordinator to provide hands-on support for our programs, events, volunteers, and day-to-day council operations.
This is a great role for someone who enjoys variety, isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed, and wants flexible, part-time work with a mission-driven organization. No two weeks will look exactly the same—you may spend one day preparing program materials for our coaches and another helping at a community event or getting supplies ready for our celebratory 5K.
The Council Coordinator will work closely with the Girls on the Run of Dayton staff, particularly our Council Manager, to help keep programs and events organized and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities Program & Coach Support- Prepare, organize, pack, and distribute program materials and coach supply bins
- Assist with setup, organization, and logistics for coach training
- Help prepare materials for Girls on the Run program sites Organize returned supplies and materials following each season
- Represent Girls on the Run at back-to-school nights, community events, and outreach opportunities
- Assist with event setup, staffing, and breakdown
- Prepare and pack materials and supplies for our end-of-season 5K
- Provide hands-on support during 5K weekend and other council events
- Help organize volunteer assignments and materials
- Prepare volunteer supplies and communications as needed
- Assist staff with volunteer check-in and coordination at events
- Maintain an organized program and supply area
- Inventory, sort, label, pack, and restock materials
- Help receive and organize deliveries
- Assist with seasonal office organization and other operational projects
- Provide general hands-on support to the Girls on the Run team as needs arise

- Friendly and comfortable interacting with volunteers, coaches, families, and community partners
- Able to lift and move program bins, boxes, event supplies, and other materials
- Comfortable working occasional evenings and weekends for trainings, community events, and the Girls on the Run 5K
- Passionate about supporting girls and the mission of Girls on the Run
- 5-10 hours per week
- $15 per hour
- Hours will vary based on the Girls on the Run season and council needs
- Some weeks may require fewer hours, with additional hours needed around coach training, program launches, and the 5K
