The American National Red Cross seeks an SAF professional to support Service to the Armed Forces programs serving military members, veterans, and their families. In this role, you will coordinate outreach, casework, and emergency assistance, ensuring timely and compassionate support. You will build relationships with military installations, VA facilities, and community partners while recruiting and guiding volunteers who deliver front-line services.
Responsibilities include organizing briefings and events, maintaining accurate case records, and contributing to disaster and crisis response. This mission-driven position offers the opportunity to make a tangible humanitarian impact while working in a collaborative, values-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support SAF (Service to the Armed Forces) programs for military members, veterans, and families
- Organize outreach events, workshops, and briefings on Red Cross services and resources
- Collaborate with military installations, VA facilities, and community partners to expand program reach
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to deliver SAF services and support activities
- Respond to emergency family assistance requests and facilitate critical communications
- Maintain accurate case records, reports, and program metrics in required systems
- Deliver presentations and briefings about SAF programs to internal and external audiences
- Assist with disaster and crisis response activities impacting military communities
- Ensure services adhere to Red Cross standards, policies, and confidentiality requirements
- Support continuous improvement of SAF programming through feedback and data analysis
