Overview
The Ambulatory Nurse is a nursing staff position, which reports to the Clinic Supervisor. Performs treatments, administers medications, assists procedures performed without anesthesia while utilizing aseptic technique, assists with employee education and orientation and provides patient/family education with the goal of improving health outcomes. Involves family/significant others in planning health care and health decisions. Delegates and evaluates health care to assistive personnel following the hospital plan for nursing.
Recognizes and advocates for each patient being individual with health care needs. Provides considerate, respectful care affirming the patient’s right to make decisions regarding their medical care.

Responsibilities- Perform treatments and administer medications in an ambulatory setting.
- Assist procedures performed without anesthesia while utilizing aseptic technique.
- Assist with employee education and orientation.
- Provide patient/family education to improve health outcomes.
- Involve family/significant others in planning health care and health decisions.
- Delegate and evaluate health care to assistive personnel following the hospital plan for nursing.
- Recognize and advocate for each patient as an individual with health care needs.
- Provide considerate, respectful care affirming the patient’s right to make decisions regarding their medical care.
- Graduation from an accredited program of nursing.
- Registered Nursing license in the State of Ohio.
- Commitment to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire.
