- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio
- Experience with Detox patients.
- Familiarity with CIWA/COWS assessments
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Demonstrated experience in direct patient care
- Five years of experience working in the AoD and or Mental Health Field
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Experience working with nurse practitioners in a collaborative care environment.
- Experience working in an AOD/Mental Health Environment is preferred
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments upon admissions
- Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing client assessments
- Observe clients, charting and reporting changes
- Review clients' medications and document on Medication Profile upon client intake and upon new scripts being received
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate medical care.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations
The required skills such as direct patient care are essential for daily clinical tasks, ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment. Patient education skills enable the nurse to communicate complex medical information clearly, fostering patient understanding and compliance. Patient advocacy skills ensure that nurses act as a voice for patients, promoting their rights and preferences within the healthcare system.
