Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized critical care for cardiac surgical and cardiovascular patients. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, acute environment with a focus on cardiac and trauma support.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and monitor critically ill CVICU patients, ensuring timely interventions.
• Administer medications, including drips and infusions, following established protocols.
• Interpret EKG strips, and manage ventilators, A-Lines, sheaths, and dialysis equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record.
• Float as needed within specified units, supporting hospital staffing demands.

Qualifications:

• Must possess at least 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading EKG strips and managing advanced cardiovascular equipment.
• Experience with A-Lines, ventilators, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and ABG draws required.
• EPIC EHR experience required.
• Valid RN license in any state; temporary license applications welcomed;
  Licenses must be active and compliant.
