School Nurse
This person will conduct and coordinate school health services and programs for the Kettering City School District. Must be a registered nurse with school nurse licensure or pursuing certification.
Major responsibilities, partial list:
- Conducts health screening and tests.
- Refers students for medical and dental care.
- Maintains up-to-date cumulative health records.
- Provides care for ill and injured students.
- Implements policy on exclusions.
- Prepares reports for Superintendent and State Board of Health.
Qualifications, partial list:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid Ohio Professional Nurse’s License.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
- Must pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
- Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Salary:
According to the approved salary schedule.
