Licensed Practical Nurse

Pulmonary

Shift: 7:00 am–7:00 pm | Full Time 36 hours per week, 72 hours per pay period

Facility:
Miami Valley Hospital

• The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care.
• Is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
• Provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly or indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients, families, and significant others.

• Education:
  
  Diploma program (Minimum level of education required).
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license;
  Current AHA BLS certification;
  Certification to administer medications;
  Preferred: IV Certification.
• Experience:
  
  No prior job-related work experience required.
• Knowledge/
  
  Skills:
  
  Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor;
  Basic computer knowledge;
  Strong organization skills;
  Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
