* For 48‑hour contract, OT is paid out after 48 hours
Cardiac experience required
Their application MUST show some 1:5 ratio experience in the Work History section for SD or PCU; otherwise, the managers will not review it. Be sure this is added to the application prior to submitting to avoid delay. Also note ICU experience does not count toward SD/PCU experience at this facility, so SD/PCU experience is required.
Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but they can be up to 1:5‑6
Unit participates or may participate in a team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs partner together to care for a group of patients. The goal is to divide the workload and not the patients, ultimately improving both workload and patient care. Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on unit needs.
Must have EPIC experience
Must have the following requirements:
- Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment.
- BLS, ACLS required – must be able to read and interpret strips.
- Experience with drawing ABGs.
- Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered or needed.
- 1.5 years and level 1 or 2 is preferred.
- Travel experience preferred.
Floating and Other Requirements:
- Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion. Agency will float in/out of specialty clusters. It will be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including high‑risk respiratory unit/COVID.
- If assigned to MVH, this could include floating main campus (Dayton) or south campus (Centerville).
- Less than 10 miles from Main Campus and North Campus (Englewood); less than 15 miles from Main Campus.
- Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday.
- Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13‑week contract.
- Premier Health reserves the right to cancel agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine.
- Travelers are not eligible for Premier healthcare employee incentives.
Working with Tele/drips/draw ABGs. ACLS‑certified cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, ablations, pacers, ICDs. Medications include Cardizem, Cardene, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, nitro, and insulin drips.
RTO Request: RTO with initial submittal; no RTO will be added after the offer. RTO approval will be at the Manager's discretion. Submittal email must include application and current Nursys report; other certificates are not needed if listed on the application.
