American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring dedicated CVICU experience with Impella, post cardiac surgery care, and Epic proficiency.

• Hospital CVICU setting in a 36-bed unit
• Patient population includes post cardiac surgery (directly and not directly from the OR), pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, and patients requiring pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz and thermodilution PA cath monitoring
• Targeted patient ratio of 1:2
• Experience with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs required in this role
• Epic EMR experience required
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• 36- or 48-hour contract options available
• Travelers are first to float at the facility's discretion; floating may occur within specialty clusters to medically appropriate assignments or in a nursing support capacity
• Floating may include the main campus and two additional campuses within 15 miles
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required

• Active OH or compact RN license required (not required to be in hand at signing)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required
• Proficiency with Impella required
• Experience with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs required
• Ability to read and interpret EKG/telemetry strips required; must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to starting
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

• 13-week assignment
• Navy blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
